Thanks to this experience it will be possible to observe the wolves in their natural environment and to admire the mountain landscapes of the Transylvanian Carpathians

Period of execution: November – February based on the level of snow present in the area

Wolves are very shy animals due to the numerous persecutions by man and have learned to camouflage themselves by making a virtue out of necessity. This experience offers the opportunity to observe wolves in their natural habitat, from a safe distance, to reduce the negative impact of human presence on these magnificent carnivores. For organizational reasons, the consistency of the group must be between 2 and 6 people.

Degree of difficulty: D These are the most tiring experiences. They are dedicated to those who are in a good / excellent physical condition, accustomed to the difficulties of the mountains. This means sleeping in tents or mountain huts, without a bath or shower. Participants are therefore required, in addition to a high spirit of adaptation, also a form and physical strength suitable to carry, in addition to their own backpack with relative equipment, also food and the necessary for sleeping. Personal equipment must include high mountain boots with ankle support, leg protection against thick vegetation, and everything needed to move in the mountains. It is necessary to enjoy a good physical condition. Furthermore, you need to be able to manage the lack of sleep and the cold climate. It is important to have winter equipment in order to be able to stand still for a few hours waiting for the animals.

The terrain to reach the point of observation of the wolves is steep and uphill, however following the planned route we arrive in the middle of a reserve for wild animals where animals rarely see human beings and this implies the need to behave very silent and respectful of places.

During this evocative experience meals will be based on meat and proteins and this could be a problem for those who follow particular diets such as vegetarians and vegans.

The program can be modulated in 2, 3 and 4 days depending on the degree of interest
